Helen Zeleke, MA
Helen Zeleke graduated from the University of Oldenburg, Germany with a Master of Arts degree in Migration Studies & Intercultural Relations and holds a Bachelor of Arts in
Community Development and Leadership from Ethiopia Adventist College. She has worked in positions dealing with women rights, labor migration, domestic workers right, HIV/AIDS, and HTP (harmful traditional practices) in various organizations within Ethiopia. Helen managed a project funded by the Global EC-UNDP Joint Migration and Development Initiative on the socio-economic re-integration of trafficked women. In addition, she published research on labor migration of Ethiopian women to the Middle East. As Regional Coordinator for the Coalition for Women against HIV/AIDS, Helen succeeded in mobilizing women in the fight against the spread
of HIV/AIDS, empowering women in decision-making and leadership positions. Helen is currently pursuing a Nursing degree in Minot, North Dakota.
