Laura Janneck, MD, MPH, FACEP
Laura Janneck is an emergency physician and the Director of Immigrant, Refugee, and Global Health in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Cambridge Health Alliance in Massachusetts. She was previously the Country Director for sidHARTe in Rwanda where, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, she guided the development emergency medical systems across the country. She is still involved in supporting the first emergency medicine residency in Rwanda. Dr. Janneck studied human biology at Brown University, medicine at Case Western Reserve University, and global public health at the Harvard School of Public Health. She completed residency at the Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals, where with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative she focused on urbanization and humanitarian emergencies. She has also been involved in food security and HIV research in South Africa, critical care in northern Uganda, and educational collaborations with the American University in Beirut, Lebanon.
