Maternal & Child Health

The Somali Maternal and Child Health Program embeds teams of clinical officers and community health workers in Mogadishu and Beledweyne, Somalia and supports them through the use of digital health tools, telemedicine, clinical education and mentorship and logistical assistance. In 2022, these teams provided clinical services, education and outreach to over 13,000 patients who primarily live in camps for internally displaced peoples due to the drought, violence and unrest in the country. As a result, this program has served 450 pregnant women and has attended over 62 live births.
