Are you a licensed and board-certified medical provider who is

Ready to volunteer?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Addis Clinic! As a non-profit organization and international NGO that leverages telemedicine technology to support multiple partner organizations worldwide, our Volunteer Medical Corps lies at the heart of our mission. We owe our ability to assist frontline health workers and healthcare providers with expert consultations to the dedication of our experienced and compassionate medical specialists. Through their support, we can provide superior care to patients who need it most.

As a remote organization, The Addis Clinic has volunteers and staff located across the globe. In these challenging times, we are in great need of additional volunteers to join our team, and we would be thrilled to have you on board.

At The Addis Clinic, we employ asynchronous, or store-and-forward, technology for teleconsultations. This approach enables us to support frontline health workers and healthcare providers as they care for patients in remote areas of the world. Our telemedicine platform, Collegium Telemedicus, is specifically designed for use in low-connectivity settings, making it ideal for the areas we serve. Moreover, our team comprises over 100 medical volunteers representing 30 medical specialties. They find our volunteer opportunities particularly rewarding as they are low in demand but have a high impact on the lives of patients in need. Consultation requests are text-based and answered by our volunteers at a time and place convenient for them.

The Addis Clinic's inception traces back to the experiences of our founding board members during a medical trip to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. While providing specialty medical services at Ethiopia ACT, they witnessed the dire need for specialized medical care. This experience ignited the vision for The Addis Clinic: to establish an organization with the capacity to provide expert medical consultations to healthcare providers in low-resource countries where access to specialty care is limited. We strive to add value to the existing healthcare system in a cost-effective and culturally appropriate manner.

Join us at The Addis Clinic and be part of this impactful endeavor to provide vital medical support to communities in need around the world. Your contribution as a volunteer will make a significant difference in the lives of those we serve. Together, we can make a lasting impact on global health.
