Use your skills and knowledge to affect change across the globe, while never having to leave your home or office.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Addis Clinic! Our specialty physician network is at the heart of our work. Without the dedication of our experienced and caring physicians, we could not support frontline health workers with expert consultations enabling them to provide superior care to patients who need it most.
We are seeking general practice and specialist providers who would like to volunteer 2 – 3 hours per month of case consultation via The Addis Clinic telemedicine platform. Consulting physicians will:
- Hold an MD or DO degree and current license
- Be willing to commit between 2 – 3 hours of consultation per month, as needed
- Enjoy working with overseas medical staff to coordinate patient care
We welcome volunteers with all levels of experience in global health and telemedicine. Our brief self-paced training packet will give you the tools you need to get started, and our staff and your fellow volunteers are always available for support along the way.

The Addis Clinic is excited to offer AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit for time spent volunteering!
Through a joint providership with the Institute for International Medicine (INMED), The Addis Clinic offers complimentary point-of-care CME activities for all interested physician volunteers. Point-of-care CME allows the user to engage in self-directed online learning on topics relevant to their practice – in this case, it is the research our volunteers do while consulting on our cases. Any CME offered through INMED is AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Prior to applying for credit, you must review the CME Requirements for Learners document.
When you are ready to claim credit, please access The Addis Clinic Point of Care CME Credit Claim, to input all relevant information and request your CME certificate.
